Profile: Mr. Williams is a bankruptcy specialist with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of business and corporate insolvency law, debtor and creditor law, trustee representation in complex business bankruptcies, federal and state court receiverships, insolvency litigation and insolvency-related transactions.
He has represented debtors-in-possession, creditors, creditor committees and trustees in court-supervised reorganizations, and has guided numerous closely-held businesses through successful out of court restructurings, turn-arounds and orderly liquidations.
Mr. Williams has authored articles in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and the California Bankruptcy Forum, and has served as a panelist, moderator and contributing author on bankruptcy continuing education programs, and as a lecturer on business insolvency and bankruptcy topics.
Mr. Williams currently serves on the Mediation Panel of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California.
Education: Mr. Williams received his Juris Doctor in 1983 from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. From 1984 to 1985, Mr. Williams served as law clerk to the Honorable Peter M. Elliott, United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California and United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit.
Member: Mr. Williams is a Past-President of the Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter, and has served on the board of directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum, the Inland Empire Bankruptcy Forum and the Orange County Bar Association.
