Profile: Cheyañna is a full-time professor of law at Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California. She has taught Federal Income Tax, Estate and Gift Tax, Taxation of Business, American Indian Law, Community Property, Corporations, and Wills & Trusts. She has written several law review articles on taxation, community property, and American Indian law.
She has served an expert witness on the community property laws of California and American Indian law.
Cheyañna represented the taxpayers of California on the Internal Revenue Service’s Taxpayer Advocacy Panel. The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel listens to taxpayers, identifies taxpayers' issues, and makes suggestions for improving IRS service and customer satisfaction.
Cheyañna worked at the District Counsel’s office with the Internal Revenue Service while in law school. The District Counsel is the attorney for the Internal Revenue Service.
She has served as a lecturer and speaker on topics ranging from American Indian Law to Business law.
